Which hose is this?

It is the pre-bent 1-inch raw-water inlet hose on select SX / DP-S sterndrive water-intake circuits that specify 3852352. It carries seawater into the cooling path — it is not an exhaust bellow and not a U-joint boot.

It is not a later 1-1/4-inch SX inlet hose, not AQ seawater hose 875822 / 876632 (GH 18H1002 covers 875822 only), not exhaust bellow 3850426, and not U-joint bellow 3854127.

Signs yours is due

• SX / DP-S runs hot after a few minutes: measure the inlet hose I.D. — if it is still 1-inch and stamped 3852352 / 0769440, this hose may be collapsed.
• You almost ordered a later 1-1/4-inch SX inlet because the bend "looks similar" — stop and measure; wrong diameter will not seal.
• Water weeps at the SX water-inlet clamps (drive side), not from an exhaust bellow or U-joint boot — replace the inlet hose, not a bellows kit.
• Divert: AQ200–280 seawater hose 875822 → GH 18H1002. Need U-joint + inlet + exhaust together → GH 19B3001, not this single hose.

Install tips on the SX/DP-S water inlet

Sterndrive seawater inlet hose work. Cold engine; disconnect battery; follow the Volvo Penta / OMC service method for your drive. This is a water hose — not an exhaust bellow. Do not use bellows adhesive or a bellows expander.

1. Confirm the old hose / EPC is 3852352 and the inlet is 1-inch (not 1-1/4-inch).
2. Photograph orientation and clamp lands; loosen clamps; remove the old hose; clean mating tubes.
3. Seat the new molded hose fully without forcing a different bend; place clamps on the clamp lands.
4. Tighten to the service-manual specification for that drive (no universal torque invented on this page).
5. Run and check for leaks and normal raw-water flow before returning the boat to service.

Is this an exhaust bellow?

No. 18H1005 is a 1-inch SX/DP-S water inlet hose (OEM 3852352). Exhaust and U-joint bellows are different SKUs.

Will any SX 1994-up hose fit?

No. Confirm 3852352, drive code, and 1-inch inlet size. Later drives may switch to a 1-1/4-inch inlet that this hose will not fit.

Is this the same as 19B3001?

No. 19B3001 is a three-piece combination (U-joint bellow + this inlet hose + exhaust bellow). This page is the water inlet hose only.
