Install tips for the full set

Engine-bay center-rise upper and lower hose work on both banks. Cold engine; disconnect battery; follow the OMC / Volvo Penta exhaust procedure. Confirm old hoses are 3852696 (upper) and 3863450 with bump (lower) before you open this pack. Usually you do not pull the sterndrive for these short couplers — do not copy a full transom-kit adhesive / expander recipe blindly.

1. Lay out all four hoses: identify the two short uppers (~4×4.5) and the two bump lowers (~3.5×5.5).
2. Replace one joint at a time — start with one upper, then its matching lower, then the other bank (or follow your shop sequence).
3. Support each joint; loosen clamps; remove the old hose; clean mating tubes.
4. Seat each new hose fully; place clamps on the clamp lands if supplied.
5. Tighten to the service-manual specification for that assembly (no universal torque invented on this page).
6. Run and check for exhaust / water leaks at all four joints before returning the boat to service.
