SX-A / DPS exhaust bellow service. Cold engine; support the boat and drive; disconnect battery; follow the Volvo Penta procedure for exhaust bellow replacement on your exact drive. Confirm 3888916 and metallic protection / without valve before install — do not substitute 3588753 or 3850426.

1. Confirm old bellow / EPC is 3888916 — not 3588753, not 3850426, and not a photo stamped 3841293.
2. Support the joint; remove the old bellow and clamps; clean mating flanges.
3. Seat the new bellow with metallic protection oriented as on the old part; install 3852604 clamps on the clamp lands if supplied.
4. Tighten to the service-manual specification for that drive.
5. Run and check for exhaust / water leaks before returning the boat to service.
