This is a VRO fuel/oil pump for Johnson / Evinrude 150 / 175 HP V6 2-stroke outboards. 4-wire 5007420 covers 1991–2006 150 / 175 HP rows. 5007423 is the 3-wire-to-4-wire kit on 1984–1991 150 HP and 1985–1991 175 HP rows. Predecessors: 5004558 / 5004559 / 5004562 and 438400. Compatible with the six HP/stamp groups in the table. Two of those rows are stamped 5007422 — that is the premix / fuel-only conversion (21FP008), not what this SKU ships. This page keeps oil injection working. Not 5007421 (40–50 / 60 TTL). Not 60/70 3-cyl (21FP006) and not 90/115 V4 (21FP007).

Signs yours is due

• 150 / 175 HP V6 smokes, or the oil tank stays full while the motor runs lean on oil — VRO not pumping.
• No-oil horn with a dry oil hose at a 4-wire pump on a V6 2-stroke.
• Fuel at the VRO body after a pulse-limiter failure; oil tank still on the motor.
• If you already decided to premix instead of repairing VRO, stop — that kit is 5007422 (21FP008).

Will it fit?

Compatible with Johnson / Evinrude 150 HP and 175 HP V6 2-stroke groups: 5007423 on 1984–91, 5007420 on 1991–2006. The table also prints 5007422 on 1994–2001 150 HP and 1994–95 175 HP — those rows are the premix conversion, sold as 21FP008. Match the stamp and wire count. Not 200 HP, not 90/115 V4, not 4-stroke 150/175.

Engine horsepower alone does not prove fit. Match the number stamped on the pump you remove to the OEM column.

Install

Confirm 150 / 175 HP V6 2-stroke with an oil tank. Photograph oil, fuel, pulse, and the 3-wire vs 4-wire plug. 1984–91 motors often need 5007423. Do not fit 5007422 unless you are abandoning VRO for premix. Prime oil and fuel, then verify the oil line moves after start.
