Which pump is this?

This is BRP 5007422, a fuel-only conversion pump (premix). It replaces a failed VRO on the listed 105 / 150 / 175 / 200 HP 2-stroke motors by pumping fuel only. After install you mix oil in the gasoline at the ratio in your shop manual. It does not restore oil injection and it does not keep the VRO warning system. Compatible with the four HP groups in the table (105 HP 1994–95, 150 HP 1994–2001, 175 HP 1994–95, 200 HP 1996–2001). Old sales copy that said 120–140 HP and 225–300 HP is wider than this workbook — those rows are not here. 5007420 / 5007423 on this site restore VRO oiling; that is the opposite direction.

Signs yours is due

• Big 2-stroke VRO failed (no oil, horn, or smoke) and you have already decided to premix instead of repairing VRO.
• You want a fuel-only pump on a 150 / 200 HP 1994–2001 motor listed below — not a 4-wire VRO restore.
• If you still want the oil tank to meter oil, stop. You want 5007420 / 5007423 (21FP006 / 007 families), not this kit.
• Not a fuel-filter cartridge. Not an electric pump.

Will it fit?

Compatible with Johnson / Evinrude 105 HP 1994–1995, 150 HP 1994–2001, 175 HP 1994–1995, and 200 HP 1996–2001 groups in the table. No 120 / 140 HP rows and no 225 / 250 / 300 HP rows in this SKU’s workbook. Match 5007422 on the conversion kit, not 5007420. Horsepower on the cowl is not enough.

Engine horsepower alone does not prove fit. Match the number stamped on the pump you remove to the OEM column.

• NOT 5007420 / 5007421 / 5007423 — those restore VRO oiling (21FP006 / 21FP007 direction).
• NOT 1399-07359 — VRO-restore aftermarket number, opposite of this conversion.
• NOT a 60/70 3-cyl or 90/115 V4 VRO page. This conversion table is 105 / 150 / 175 / 200 HP only.
• NOT a fuel filter. Old drafts titled 5007422 as a filter cartridge.

What ships

One fuel-only / premix conversion pump (5007422). No oil tank, no VRO electronic module. You must premix oil after install.

Often replaced together

VRO restore for 60/70 is 21FP006; for 90/115 is 21FP007. Those pages are the opposite function of 5007422.

Install

Read the conversion instructions in your shop manual before you disable VRO. Cap or remove the oil tank feed per the manual. Label this as a premix motor on the cowl so nobody runs straight gasoline later. Pulse hose still matters. Prime fuel only — there is no oil line to bleed. First tank: mix oil at the ratio the manual specifies for a VRO-deleted motor. If you wanted to keep VRO, return this and use 5007420 / 5007423 instead.

No. This conversion is fuel-only. Mix oil in the gasoline. If you want the oil tank to work, buy 5007420 / 5007423 instead.

Will this fit my 225 / 250 / 300 HP?

Is 5007422 a VRO pump?
