Which pump is this?

This is one complete mechanical diaphragm lift pump for 75–115 HP four-stroke outboards that share the Yamaha 68V-24410 / Mercury 880890 family. Yamaha stamps: 68V-24410-00-00 and 68V-24410-10-00. Mercury / Mariner stamps: 880890T1, 880890A02, with current ordering number 8M0091468. Compatible with Yamaha F75A / F80A / F90A / F100A–C / F115A / FL115A rows and Mercury 75 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 115 HP four-stroke serial bands in the table. It is a mechanical lift pump feeding the rest of the fuel system — not the electric VST high-pressure pump (68V-13907 / 880889T01) that sits in the vapor separator.

Signs yours is due

• F115 / 115 HP four-stroke cranks, fires, then dies unless you keep squeezing the bulb — the 68V / 880890 lift pump is not filling the rail or carb.
• Fuel weep at the mechanical pump on the block, while the VST electric pump still buzzes (that electric unit is a different part).
• Hot restart soak on 75–90 HP four-stroke after a summer shutdown.
• Not F150 63P-24410 failure and not a 6D8-24410 later F75/F90/F115 generation.

Will it fit?

Compatible with Yamaha F75A 2003–04, F80A 2002–03, F90A 2003–04, F100A–C 2002–03, F115A / FL115A 2000–2010 (68V-24410-00) and 2010 F115J/L/X rows on 68V-24410-10. Mercury / Mariner 75–115 HP four-stroke uses 880890T1 or 880890A02 (superseded by 8M0091468) in the serial ranges in the table — including 115 EFI 0T178500 through 1B366822 bands and 75 / 90 carb 0G960500 through 1B226999 bands. Horsepower alone is not enough. Later Yamaha F75B / F90B / F115A 2005–2017 6D8-24410 is a neighbor SKU (23FP465), not this page.

Engine horsepower alone does not prove fit. Match the number stamped on the pump you remove to the OEM column.

• NOT 18-35302 — that cross-ref belongs to the small 66M / 6AH 8–20 HP family, not 75–115 HP.

Later 6D8-24410 four-stroke pumps are 23FP465. F150 63P-24410 is 25FP483. VST electric pumps and 26FFK059 kits are separate.

Install

This pump is the mechanical lift pump on the block, not the electric pump inside the VST. Photograph the pulse and fuel hoses. On Mercury 75–115 HP four-stroke, read the serial on the midsection before you assume 880890T1 vs 8M0091468 vs a later 6D8 Yamaha-platform pump. Clean the pad, align the pulse hole, snug screws evenly. Prime, leak-check, idle on muffs. If the electric VST pump is the part that failed (no buzz, no high pressure), you are on the wrong page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my Yamaha F115?

F115A / FL115A 2000–2010 rows are on 68V-24410-00; some 2010 F115J/L/X rows are on -10. Later F115A 2005–2017 6D8-24410 is not this pump. Match the stamp.

Will this fit Mercury 75 / 90 / 115 four-stroke?

Compatible with the serial bands in the table (880890T1 / 880890A02 / 8M0091468). Cowl horsepower is not enough — read the serial.

Is 8M0091468 the same?

8M0091468 is the current Mercury ordering number superseding 880890A02 in this family. Still match the physical pump.

My F115 has an electric pump in the VST.

That is 68V-13907 / 880889T01, not this mechanical lift pump. This page does not include the electric unit.
