Which hose is this?

It is the pre-molded seawater intake / cooling hose used on select AQ200 through AQ280 family drives that specify OEM 875822. The molded bend is part of the fit — a straight cut hose is not a substitute.

It is not the AQ290 / 290DP hose family (876632 / 875847 / 9-44005), not 832831 (AQ270T/280T branch), not SX/DP-S inlet 3852352 (GH 18H1005), and not a drive-joint bellow (876294).

Signs yours is due

• AQ200–280 seawater path runs hot after a short run, but the impeller and thermostat check out — inspect the 875822 molded hose for a collapsed bend.
• Salt crust or drip marks where the AQ intake hose meets the drive fittings (not at an SX 1-inch inlet and not at a MerCruiser Bravo transom hose).
• Hose looks close to an AQ290 part but your EPC still shows 875822 — do not guess; wrong family = 876632.
• Winter layup: the molded AQ bend has taken a set / rubs a pulley edge — replace before relaunch. If your drive is AQ290, leave this page.

Install tips on the AQ seawater circuit

AQ drive seawater / coolant hose work. Cold engine; disconnect battery; follow the Volvo Penta service method for your drive. This is a water hose — not a sterndrive bellow. Do not use bellows adhesive or a bellows expander.

1. Confirm the old hose is 875822 (AQ200–280 family) — not 876632 (AQ290).
2. Photograph orientation and clamp lands; loosen clamps; remove the old hose; clean mating tubes.
3. Seat the new molded hose fully without forcing a different bend; place both clamps on the clamp lands.
4. Tighten to the service-manual specification for that drive (no universal torque invented on this page).
5. Run and check for leaks and normal raw-water / coolant flow before returning the boat to service.

FAQ

Does this cover AQ290 / 290DP?

No. 18H1002 is OEM 875822 for the AQ200–280 family only. AQ290 / 290DP uses the 876632 / 875847 hose family — do not buy this page for those drives.

Is this a bellow or rubber boot?

No. It is a molded seawater intake / coolant water hose with clamps. If you need a U-joint or exhaust bellow, choose that SKU instead.

Will any AQ280 hose fit?

No. Confirm 875822 on the old hose or EPC, plus molded geometry and drive serial. AQ badge or horsepower alone is not enough.
