AQ / 280 exhaust bellow work. Cold engine; support the boat and drive; disconnect battery; follow the Volvo Penta procedure for exhaust bellow replacement. Confirm the old bellow has an internal flapper and matches 876633 / 875828 before install. Do not substitute a without-flapper 876631 bellow. Use adhesive / expander only as the manual specifies for that drive.

1. Confirm old bellow / EPC is 876633 or 875828 WITH internal flapper — not 876631 and not SX 3850426.
2. Support the joint; remove the old bellow per the service manual; clean mating surfaces.
3. Orient the new bellow so the flapper functions as designed; seat clamps if supplied.
4. Tighten / bond per the service-manual specification for that assembly.
5. Run and check for exhaust / water leaks before returning the boat to service.
