Workshop sequence

- Secure the vessel out of the water, disconnect battery power, and properly support the sterndrive assembly before removing the outdrive and old mounting gaskets.
- Remove the existing U-joint bellows, exhaust bellows, shift cable bellows, water inlet hose, and gimbal bearing, then clean and inspect all housing flanges and sealing surfaces.
- Compare each new component in the kit against the removed parts to verify matching profiles, hose connections, and bearing seating before installation.
- Seat the gimbal bearing and install the new bellows and water inlet hose without twists or folds, positioning clamps and applying any required adhesives strictly according to the service manual for your specific sterndrive model.
- Reinstall the sterndrive using the supplied outdrive mounting gasket kit and verify smooth shift cable movement and full trim/steering clearance across the operating range.
